STITCHING RETREATS
Share a weekend of technique classes and fun stitching with a small group of new friends and nationally recognized designers. This is our 21st year for our Weekend Retreats in Tulsa. The retreats are limited to 40 people and are designed to give you a relaxing fun-filled cross stitch getaway with lots of different stitching projects. They start Friday evening and end noon Sunday. You can come alone or with a group, either way you’ll leave with new friends and loads of new stitching ideas.

The retreat prices include all your kits, prizes and giveaways, food, lodging (Fri. and Sat. nights) tote bag full of goodies, classes and personal instruction from Cindy and several of the girls from the shop for the entire weekend. Our Flings provide 4 classes with lots of free time for stitching or just enjoy the spa. Flings fill up fast so hurry and call in – ½ deposit holds your spot. Cost for the Fling is $275.00. The classes for each seasonal Fling are different so you can attend each one and have different projects.

KNITTING
Our Knitting corner has grown and taken over 1/3 of the shop! We have yarn everywhere, so be sure to take advantage of this great Superbowl sale and buy
your 2007 projects now. Brrrr, it’s sweater weather! And we’ve got fabulous yarns to make that dream project come true. Whether you’re looking for DK, worsted or bulky weight, our yarns from Schaefer, Debbie Bliss, Wool in the Woods, Lana Gatto and Noro will make that project special for years to come.

Looking to line up a few projects for 2007? Here are a few of the most popular ideas that will really get your needles clicking: Have you seen the new models in the store of the popular Prayer Shawl? We have them up in several different yarns but my favorite is the new Schaefer Yarn- Sandra. These are great for Spring and a perfect stepping-stone after scarves and ponchos. Surely you have jumped on the felting bandwagon but the newest craze is felted bowls. Everyone needs one to hold their yarn to keep it from slipping and sliding away! We have them in all sorts of yarns from Brown Sheep, Noro, Cascade and Lopi. Great for beginners who have already done clogs or purses. We do have several new felted purse models - one of my favorites is out of Schaefer
Yarns, Miss Priss which is very colorful and variegated. Also another one of our new yarns is Universal called Deluxe Chunky and it is a great felting yarn as you can see in our Southwest felted bag. Of course we have all the old but goody patterns for clogs, hats, purses, vests, slippers, etc. as well as tons of yarn to choose from. Come in and make your selection and save BIG during our sale. The scarf craze is still going strong and we have the best selection in town of novelty yarns for you to pick from to make the perfect accessory. Our cabled Ruana knit in Filatura Di Crosa Cambridge is a great throw
on since fitting is not a problem! Great beginner project and can be knit in other yarns. Sock yarns are so wonderful and we have added several new ones to our mix. The Spring and Summer colors are delicious and you can get a jump on making yours.
Afghans, pillows, and throws are becoming more popular and we have several good patterns and books to interest you. Perhaps the Afghan Monthly class would be a good way to start yours and get help along the way as you learn new stitches. See our class schedule for more great ideas and projects you can cozy up to!

We have a great ‘Knitters Night Out’ - (KNOT) every month – the third Wednesday of every month from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.. Knit and share ideas with other knitters, plus have a great show-and-tell.

Knitting Retreat: May 18th - 20th, 2007. Come and join us for our fourth Knitting Retreat in Tulsa. Like our cross-stitch retreats, you’ll spend a delightful weekend of great classes with a limited group of knitters. Join us for our third annual Stitching Cruise on Aug. 3l, 2007.
For this year’s cruise we are doing Land and Sea or just the cruise to Alaska! We are so excited because so many of you have requested this cruise and the response has been fantastic. In fact, we have a few spots left for the Land and Sea (that is the cruise plus 3 days on land) and several for the 7-day cruise but they are filling up so fast. The itinerary is wonderful and I have several great surprises for our stitching classes. For the Land and Sea we leave from our hometown on Aug. 31 and arrive back on Sept.10th. If you are interested in just the Cruise we leave on Sept. 3 from Anchorage and arrive back on Sept. 10th. We have a list of prices for both at the shop and you can also call our travel agent and book directly. For those who have already booked and put down a deposit you will be receiving a letter shortly filling you in with payment dates and other information. Please call or email me if you are interested in this lifetime opportunity. We are sailing with the Princess line and part of our land tour is on the glass-domed train thru Denali. Fun, Fun, Fun!!

Oklahoma Centennial Sampler
This is a once in a lifetime class! We have designed an original sampler depicting things
unique to Oklahoma on it’s centennial. Classes will be once a month on the last Thursday of each month starting March 29th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We will do 1 or 2 bands a month and in the end you will have a great memory and heirloom! Call for details. Class size is limited.

FIBERS-N-FUN
Welcome to the world of fibers and fun! In our fiber design kits you will be introduced to different fibers and fabrics with an original new design each month.

Fibers & Fun Class - $18.00
What a great concept! Using our Fibers-N-Fun kits we'll introduce you to new fibers and fabrics with each project. The class will meet on the third Thursday evening of every month. There will be an exclusive project - designed by us. (Loads of fun fibers, beads, etc. depending on the project and you'll get to play with new fabrics). Each class will always be $18.00 (when these are packaged for sale, the cost will be higher - what a deal!) There will be tips for using the fibers properly and sometimes a new stitch or two. You can mail order the kit or stop in and pick it up - instructions are clear enough for you to do at home. Sign up for and let us know if you would like to be on our automatic to receive a design every month. Those in the automatic program always receive a few surprises. Join us for the class! KNITTING CLASSES

Beginning Knitting Class - $20.00/hr.
Great class for first time knitters. Learn the basics of design and structure, while knitting your first project. You will choose the pattern and materials at your first class (not included in cost).

Knitted Felted Bags - $20.00 plus materials
:: February 21 - Wednesday 11:00 - 12:30 pm
:: March 21 - Wednesday 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

On Going Sweater Class (4 session) - $20.00 per hour plus materials.
Basics of learning how to do body measurements and easement for a good fit. Gauge and stitching are important and this will be a 4-session class, 1 hour each. Come in and pick out your yarn and needles prior to class.

Cable Tists (4 sessions) - $20.00 per hour plus materials.
Cables in sweaters, purses, hats and scarves are really big this year. Pick your project, yarn and pattern from a variety at the store. We have several models done so you can check them out like the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Cable Wrap, Noro's Iro Cabled Bag, Tahki Stacy Charles Alpaka Soft hooded Scarf or maybe the Baby Tweed Cabled Bag.
:: February 23 thru March 16th 11:00 - 12:00 pm

Monthly Afghan Class - Squares and Rectangles - $10 per class plus materials.
Choose from 2 different afghans. You can stay for the 1 hour class or pick up your yarn and pattern and come back in if you need help with the instructions given. See the models in the shop so you can pick! The first block is "Queen of Hearts" by Debbie Abrahams.

Private Lessons for Knitting, Crocheting and Cross-Stitch - Beginning and Intermediate - only $20/hr

MARKET NIGHT
We go to one of our largest markets in February and we bring home tons of new items from designers - from new designers as well as from lots of your favorite designers.
We will have a big Market Night on February 22nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm to allow
you to buy what we brought back - before we put them out in the shop! Hurry in and be the first to see all the new items!
